Main Article Content
Abstract
Cultural changes, urbanization, globalization, and family re-structuring have all impacted gender relations, inter generational responsibilities and social institutions in modern India. The scope of women's empowerment has raised opportunities for education, employment and decision-making. However, issues like domestic violence, neglect to old age people, juvenile delinquency and beggary are causing harm to society. Despite the extensive study of these issues in isolation, few have been studied for their relationship with each other. This study examines the linkages between women empowerment, domestic violence, old age problems, juvenile delinquency and beggary in the back drop of cultural change. The current study adopts a qualitative review-based research design. It synthesizes evidence from peer-reviewed literature, government reports, and international publications. The thematic analysis is supported by Feminist theory, Structural functionalism, Social disorganization theory, and Life course theory The analysis reveals that improving women empowerment, domestic violence reduction, the welfare of elders, and strengthening family and community support systems can reduce juvenile delinquency, social exclusion, and beggary significantly. As per the findings of the study, integrated public policies that are gender responsive and age inclusive are indispensable for promoting social justice, strengthening family resilience, and achieving inclusive and sustainable development in fast changing societies.
