Abstract

Super nutrients are nutrient compounds including fat-soluble vitamins, necessary minerals, and growth promoters. The present research was carried out with the aim of determining the effects of super nutrients on some growth and biochemical indices in juvenile Acipenser baerii at the International Sturgeon Research Institute during a 6-month period. Blood samples were obtained on days 45 (stage I) and 90 (stage II), and plasma was prepared. Some plasma biochemical and ion levels were measured in the VIRO MED laboratory in Rasht. The results showed that the mean final weight, final biomass, body weight increase (BWI), specific growth rate (SGR), condition factor (CF), and average daily growth (ADG) showed significant differences between the control group and other treatments (p < 0.05). Results also showed that sodium, potassium, and calcium ion levels had no significant differences among various concentrations of super nutrients during the rearing period (p > 0.05). Based on the obtained results, adding super nutrients to the diet of Acipenser baerii caused significant improvements in growth indices. Therefore, the use of super nutrients in the diet of Siberian sturgeon is recommended
