Abstract

The growing popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) has established a high demand of effective and sustainable charging infrastructure. In order to overcome this problem, this paper will suggest an IoT based smart automation system of EV charging using solar energy. The system combines the work of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, a battery storage unit, intelligent sensors, and an IoT-enabled controller to control and track the charging process. The solar energy is generated and used to power electric vehicles directly or to charge batteries, which can be used later, or used to check the charge status of electric vehicles and whether they are under charge, relaying this information to a cloud platform to be monitored and controlled remotely via a mobile or web interface. The suggested system will maximize the use of energy, help decrease reliance on traditional grid electricity, and enhance efficiency in charging. Such a strategy helps develop sustainable and intelligent EV chargers and helps to minimize the carbon footprint and enhance the integration of renewable energy.
